Kyisha Davenport / Bar Director & People Operations Lead
Kyisha has spent the better part of a decade in the hospitality industry. Taking up bartending after high school, her community activism as a young person brought her into foodservice labor organizing. Prior to her transition from her most recent home at Shojo - Chinatown's premier Asian fusion cocktail bar and restaurant - she has worked at JM Curley, Ten Tables, as well as concurrently managing bar operations for private fundraisers and events. Kyisha's work behind the bar is continually and intrinsically informed by her upbringing and experiences as a working class black woman in New York City and presently, Boston.
